BROWNSVILLE, Texas - A woman in Brownsville is in police custody after investigators say she used a tattoo machine on her elementary school-aged children.
Police say that Maria Erika Vasquez resisted arrest when officers arrived.
Vasquez is accused of tattooing a three-dot design on her six- and ten-year-old children’s arms. The design allegedly symbolizes “Mi Vida Loca” or “My Crazy Life,” which is a known gang reference, according to police.
Investigators also say that Vasquez had used the tattoo machine on her 12-year-old brother.
